This tech company, headquartered in Brooklyn, wanted a place for staffers to unplug and relax. Ample seating was a priority as many employees need a place to eat lunch during colder months. Window bar seating and café table options made this former conference room into a soothing sanctuary for meeting up with colleagues for a bite to eat or relaxing in the lounge area with a good book. The pop of yellow in the stools and the striped ceiling reminded some of being in a cabana at a resort hotel. Now that's detaching from work for a little while.

PROJECT // Soothing Staff Sanctuary
LOCATION // Brooklyn, New York
BUDGET SIZE // between $10,000–15,000

We needed to turn a basic conference room into a modern, welcoming space for our staff to retreat to. Elizabeth curated beautiful Brooklyn-themed artwork for the gallery wall that creatively distracts from the deadlines that await just outside the door. She managed to maximize space and give us much more seating than we thought was possible, for both eating and lounging. Employees have continued to rave about their new, chill space.
